B12 - low on energy?
I just read a chapter about B12 in Dr. Gabriel Cousins book "Spiritual Nutrition". I can only really recommend this book, it's like the raw food bible btw.
I can't possibly explain this as well as him, but I just want to share the basics.
How do you know if you are deficient in B12? No 1 symptom: low energy. But also neurological symptoms that can cause serious nerve degeneration.
Ok, I thought, I eat raw spirulina, chlorella and all the other foods that contain B12. Not sufficient. There are scientific studies (see the book for details) that confirm the following:
Food can contain human active B12, but these usually also contain non-human active analogues that may be blocking the human active B12.
Approx 80% of vegans / living foodists become deficient in B12 after 6-10 years without supplementation.
So it is necessary to supplement with raw B12. Does anybody know a good product? I want to get it soon!!
